DESCRIPTION:Join us for a low-stim opening of the exhibitions ‘Audrey Amiss: The Surviving Exhibitions‘ and ‘Rudy Loewe: Intimacies of Care – Spaces of Grief and Possibility’. \nLow-stim sessions provide a calm environment. They are designed to reduce additional sensory stimulation like loud noises\, bright lights and strong scents. \nYou will find: \n\nfewer people in the exhibitions\nlower light levels in the gallery and around the building\nlower sound levels in the gallery and around the building\nvisitors are encouraged to keep phones on silent and to speak quietly\nvisitors and staff are encouraged not to wear strong scents\n\nThe rest of our building will be closed to other visitors so you’ll need to book at ticket to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Drop in to an object-handling event with members of our Visitor Experience and Engagement team\, where you can get up close to items in our collection. \nThere will be different stations throughout the space\, each with objects that you can touch and explore at your own pace. In addition\, there will be other creative activities to try. \nCome along if you’re interested in the connections between health\, history and art. \nIf you want a break from the activities\, you can head to our Chill-Out Room to lie down or relax. There will be low lighting\, comfortable seating\, cushions\, mats\, ear defenders\, earplugs and sensory toys.
