Tickets on sale soon. \nYou do not have to leave the site after the event ends\, however it will get considerably busier and louder after 12:00. \n\nSeparate ticket (advance booking required) \n\nEvents\n\n\nStart of the events summaryRelaxed events at Kensington Palace are for Neurodivergent and learning-disabled young people/adults and families/friends [16+]. \nWe welcome anyone who identifies as Neurodivergent\, Learning-Disabled or Disabled. This includes ADHD\, Autism\, Anxiety\, OCD\, Tourette’s and all other sensory and processing difficulties. \nEnjoy two hours at Kensington Palace free from crowds between the hours of 10:00 – 12:00. \nThe event will include free entry to Kensington Palace\, access to our exhibition and access to relaxed and SEN programming lead by disability aware contractors and facilitators. \nCrowd levels are limited\, and access considerations have been made to ensure you\, and your group can enjoy the Palace free from loud sound effects and harsh lighting. \nA café and retail space will also be available. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent information\nCrowd levels will be kept to a minimum for these events. Ticket capacity is much lower than standard days and only ticket holders will be permitted entry during the event time slots. \nLighting\, sound and general effects throughout the Palace will be minimised or turned off for your comfort. \nContent warnings will be placed upon spaces that may contain material audiences may find distressing. \nWe will not be asking for proof of disability or supporting documents for these events. \nVisitors with limited mobility\nKensington Palace is a historic building with difficult stairs and passageways\, including spiral staircases\, and wheelchair access is limited. There are some low and narrow doorways. \nResources\nA visual story will be emailed to you two weeks before the event takes place. In February it’s Deserts\, in May it’s rainforests\, in August it’s Oceans and in November it’s Autumn.\n\nWalk-ups are not possible – you must have a ticket. They found important jobs in hospitals\, factories and also in London Transport (what we know today as Transport for London). \nDonald Hinds was originally from Jamaica and moved to London\, where he worked as a bus conductor. \nWhat did a bus conductor do? \n\nSold tickets in the bus\nHelped passengers get on and off\nHelped with directions\nKept everyone safe\n\nFun fact\nIn the 1960s\, bus conductors helped Londoners get around long before modern Oyster cards and contactless payment existed!

Details of where these areas are located can be found in the visual walkthrough. There will be signage at the event.\nThe exhibitions are designed to encourage visitors to consider the experiences of people during conflict. In our First World War Galleries\, there is a short\, optional section that takes visitors through a replica trench. The floor in this area is textured\, with low lighting and sound effects. Visitors using mobility aids\, with mobility impairments\, sensory processing differences or with buggies may wish to take extra care in this area or take an alternative route that avoids this experience.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFacilities\n· The café will be open for hot drinks and cold snacks. \n· Accessible toilets and baby change facilities are available throughout the museum and are signposted. \n· There are a small number of ear defenders and sensory backpacks containing items that may help your visit. DESCRIPTION:30th May \n10:00 am \nFree \nMay Half Term Relaxed Morning\nJoin us for our Relaxed Morning\, a dedicated museum opening for children and young people (aged 5-25) who are neurodivergent or have additional needs\, and their families. \nAs well as providing a sensory reduced environment within the Museum\, all activities have been adapted to be neurodivergent and SEND friendly. \nOn the day you will be able to: \n\nDiscover and play with popular toys from the past 100 years. Handle a 1930s toy tractor\, build a 1960s tower block\, play with a cup and ball and more!\nPlay with giant Jenga\, Fishing games\, Dominos\, Snakes and Ladders\, Quoits\, and others.\nTake part in hands-on craft activities.\n\nOur friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer a warm welcome and any support you may need.
