A Relaxed, sensory festive visit to the Historic Kitchens
For anyone with additional needs or disabilities of any age and their families/friends.
Join our experienced staff and volunteers for a special visit to the Historic Kitchen, decorated in Holly and Ivy. Discover the difference between how we prepared our festive food in Victorian times, and the present day.
There will be opportunities to handle museum objects and costume, sensory activities and traditional Christmas decorations to make and take home. Don’t forget to stir the Christmas pudding and make a wish!
A cloakrooms, chill out zone and lunch/snack rooms are available. The historic kitchens are wheelchair accessible, and FREE parking is available, if reserved in advance. All attendees will be contacted in advance of the visit, to help us plan for their individual needs.
